VIDEO & PHOTOS: Local Police, NJSP bring awareness to teens in ‘Project Crash’ Presentation ahead of graduation

project crash 16Local School Resource police officers from Jackson and Lakewood in conjunction with the New Jersey State Police today demonstrated the dangers of drunk driving and other driving dangers.

The ‘Project Crash’ drill took place at the Liberty High School, and demonstrated a serious crash in which patients needed to be airlifted to the hospital via the waiting chopper.

“Don’t make a stupid decision that can ruin your life,” was the message of one of the ‘patients’.

Representing Lakewood, were School Resource Officers Alex Guzman and Steve Nickens.

The event is coordinated by Jackson Police Officer John Pejosky, who tells TLS that in the past six years of doing this event they haven’t lost any students to drunk driving.
