In an effort to raise funds for the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Lakewood Police officers today were dunked in a cold water tank by young students.
The dunk-a-Cop, inflatable rides and a slip-and-slide were among several activities at the Oak Street School carnival, organized by the PBA Local 71 and the NJEA.
It cost $1 to take the dunk-a-cop challenge, and the monies raised will go towards trips for the children during the school year.
Taking part in the dunk-a-cop challenge, were officers Brandon Burkhardt, PBA President Sean Ward, Jay Peterson, Pat Kearns, Gary Przewoznik and Craig Lawson.

This is not how u respect police officers, even if they let!!!
very funny
These guys were great sports! I really feel a tremendous amount of gratitude to our dedicated officers! They sure deserve some good natured fun!
With all the bad things we hear about police these days, I think its awesome that our officers took time out to interact with our children.
Breeds good police community relations
$1??? How do expect to raise money like that? I mean the splash from the water alone cost more than that!
