A Kvias Mezuzah was held today Lakewood’s newest Cheder, Talmud Torah Toras Yisroel.
The Cheder, founded with the assistance of R’ Mordechai Berenfeld – founder of Darkei Avoseini, was opened to meet the needs of Lakewood, which is growing by leaps and bounds – largely due to the families moving in from out of town.
As R’ Berenfeld and the Rosh Vaad Hachinuch, Rabbi Moshe Pannette, explained, the school opened as a full elementary school – from kindergarten to 8th grade – a first for Lakewood.
The school is comprised of approximately 100 children, with most of the clientele being families who recently moved to Lakewood.
The Kvias Mezuzah today was attended by the Satmar Dayan and other Rabbonim.
See video below of the assistant founder and Rosh Vaad Hachinuch talking about the school.
