As reported last night, a group of approximately 20 pilots – who have a non-conventional way of going out to eat – flew into Lakewood Sunday to dine at the Prime 95 restaurant.
The Jewish pilots are part of a club comprised of pilots from around the tri-state area, as well as from Israel. Three of them are also pilots for El Al.
The group periodically gets together, and occasionally fly to various fine restaurants. When they inquired where they could dine in New Jersey, they were directed to Prime 95, an upscale Lakewood restaurant.
Interestingly, one of the pilots was called up on Shabbos for his aerial assistance in the search of the missing Passaic girl who was later Niftar, R”L. The pilot also encouraged fellow pilots to join his United Search & Rescue team.
Following dinner, the pilots headed back to the Lakewood airport, but were unable to fly due to the snowy weather conditions. Some drove home, while others waited for the snow to stop to fly home.
“We were honored to have them, and their praise of the experience truly highlights the quality and service we aim to bring our customers,” says proprietor Yudi Toporowitch.
