VIDEO & PHOTOS: Emotional farewell event held for John Franklin in honor of his 50 years of service to Lakewood

And emotional farewell event was held last night, formally thanking John Franklin for his approximately 50 years of service to the Township.

The event was attended by members of the various boards Franklin served on, including Zoning Board, Planning Board and Township Committee.

During the event, Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller presented Franklin with an award for his service.

John and his wife have been our neighbors for about 16 years, and I can attest that they are wonderful people. May they enjoy the the fruits of their labor for many happy and peaceful years!

Is he retiring? As a native Lakewoodian; Mazel Tov! Nice pictures, but audio was not good.
