UPDATE – 3:47 PM: “At this time, numerous fire departments, police agencies and joint base dive team are out continuing the search,” Jackson PD’s Public Safety Director Joseph Candido tells TLS. “The lake is currently closed to the public.”

The boater is a 29-year-old male, Candido said.
