VIDEO & PHOTOS: A Day at the Lakewood Airport with ParaFlight and Hackensack

Students from the Lakewood Cheder enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to the Lakewood Airport today, where they were treated to a live demonstration by emergency service professionals and aviation experts.

One of the highlights of the day was the arrival of a Hackensack Meridian Health helicopter, which landed on-site to the amazement of the students. The crew—including Bradley Borr, Director of Operations; Joe, a flight paramedic; Kelly, a flight nurse; and David, the pilot—gave students an up-close tour of the aircraft and explained the critical work involved in air medical transport.

The event also featured members of Lakewood Hatzolah and ParaFlight, including Chezky Abramsky, Gedalya Amoyelle, PK Kenigsberg, and Simcha Shain, a paramedic with both Hatzolah and ParaFlight. They discussed their work in emergency response and answered the many curious questions from the enthusiastic students.

The day was arranged by Rabbi Yehuda Abramsky and Peretz Gershbaum, who coordinated the effort to create an engaging and meaningful experience for the Cheder boys.

Special thanks were given to R’ Steve Reinman and Kevin McKenzie of the Lakewood Airport for their support and assistance in making the day possible.
