the bus is just as bad !!!! stops in the middle of an intersection . they are both totally wrong ..

First of all school bus have the right to drop off the students at their destination. The opposite traffic has to obey the flashing lights. The law applies.
There should be no stopping on multi lane roads let alone crossing – there could be a truck or the like in the turning lanes blocking the view of oncoming traffic! Who are you going to blame then?
In brooklyn all school buses stop diagonally which prevents such issues as seen .
In general many people don’t careless about driving safely, as anyone who can drive and text (which many do)is an out right idiot.
Many times, it is hard to notice a bus with flashing lights. There should be some type of noise along with the flashing lights.
