A newly-released short video in honor of Hagaon Rav Elyashiv’s 12th Yahrtzeit this Shabbos, gives us a glimpse of the Hasmadah of Rav Elyashiv, as well as his Kavod for other Gedolim.
During a visit by Hagaon Rav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita in Adar 5769, Rav Elyashiv can be seen standing as he awaits Rav Sternbuch.
But while waiting for Rav Sternbuch, in order not to waste even a second of learning, Rav Elyashiv can be seen continuing to learn while standing, despite being 99 years old at the time.
The Gedolim then sat down and immediately began talking in learning.
