It was truly a Kiddush Hashem…Thousands of people attended. They were all treated to an amazing song that was composed by Chunna Herskowitz….It went through the history of Mir Yeshiva for the past 300 years in vivid detail. Amazing job!!!!

Thank you Chuna for composing new lyrics to this masterpiece of a niggun. The niggun however was composed by none other then Reb Yom Tov Erlich. Im not sure why this info was ommited in the Mir booklet on the page this song was written,I assume it was ommited in error.
That’s correct. The song is a classic of Rav Yom tov Erlich zecher tzadik vkodosh lvracha and is called “yakov”.
