Video Message From LPD Officer David Sussman

David Sussman LPD_wmVIDEO of Lakewood Police Department Officer David Sussman relaying the upgraded vehicle snow law to the community. As reported earlier on TLS, the law requires drivers to remove snow and ice from their vehicles, as it poses a danger to both yourself and your fellow driver. Many summonses and warnings have been issued since the beginning of the storm.

  1. Officer Sussman is one of Lakewoods finest. He truly cares about the safety of all of our residents. He doesn’t go for all this favoritism, make an exception shtick. He does what needs to be done to keep the people in this town safe and happy. He may not live in Lakewood, but he truly cares about the towns well being.
And he does it all with a pleasant demeanor, not typically found in an officer of the law.

  2. Officer Sussman truly cares about filling the pockets of the department with the money they are charging everybody for these tickets . I recieved a ticket today from him , not knowing the law . I guess its the only way this town can pay for the snow removal . Thanks Sussman for burning me for a hundred and something bucks for not knowing a law .

  3. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. I almost got killed from ice falling off a truck on rte 9. So you say you were doing nothing wrong ,but you were. Common sense dude. You drive the snow on top will fly off. You saw it there when you dug your car out. Did you think it would just melt? I just hope the money you pay for the ticket doesn’t go into the wrong pockets.

  4. #2 it has nothing to do with not knowing the law do you need a law against stealing? its common sense same here i always wondered what the people driving around with 4 feet of snow on top of their car are thinking, or not i should say dont you know from common sense that its dangerous it can fly off and kill some one common take some responsibility

  5. I’m glad police officers like Officer Sussman are doing their job to protect us from irresponsible citizens, so do the right thing folks and clean off your vehicle and PLEASE drive responsibly!
