Police Chief Rob Lawson met up with the 40 Bike 4 Chai riders today, slipped on a T-shirt, and joined the bikers for the last 2 miles of the 135 mile trip. I remember last year he sponsored Dovid Egert and he escorted him the beginning and this year he was there at pine park to send them off and then was there to escort them into camp by BIKE!! Wow just watching the video looks like he went all out for the campers and the campers enjoyed!!!!!! Kol Hakovod chief Lawson!!

  2. Chief Lawson is a person to whom the Jewish community at large will be indebted for years to come. His unbiased approach and his focusing on real issues like gangs, violence, etc. and not harass our community (like we all know there is a BMG parking issue…) makes him very likable. It wouldn’t strike me if one day we will have a “Mayor Rob Lawson” beloved by Jews and gentiles alike.
