Let me be the first one to say THANK YOU to the DPW for all of your efforts. This morning, I saw many trucks out and about pre salting the roads. So before we start getting all the complaints about the fact that the plow did not come to their street first, I would like to say thank you….
Very well said!
Like the mayor said – MOVE YOUR CARS OFF THE ROADS!!! If you don’t then DO NOT blame public works for not plowing the roads properly. Maybe the town should put up “No Parking When Snow Covered” signs on ALL the roads. If you don’t have off street parking in your development then blame your developer. Park on the grass.
guess which road in Lakewood gets plowed first?
you will be shocked when I reveal you that tomorrow and you could check for yourself!!
no one should really be driving in this type of weather unless its really really urgent.
Do I also have to put my stuffed dolls away?
I saw public works trucks all over town today. Someone must have lit a fire under them 🙂
Let it Rain…Let it Rain….
Could everyone please remember to shovel their sidewalks. And listen to the Mayor, help your elderly neighbor shovel their steps.
You heard the Mayor, NOBODY should be out driving when the roads are slippery.
Menashe – you said what needs to be said and even had a tidbit of humor. Let’s just hope that everyone listens and stays off the road.
To snowman , we all know who u r. Get a life……..
stuff is falling from the sky!
anyone know if there will be bussing tomorrow morning?
shoveling snow takes a toll on the heart. If you have an elderly neighbor or someone who cannot do a strenuous activities, you SHOULD try to help shovel their steps and clean the driveway
To resident:
There will be no busing tomorrow.
People have been asked to stay of the roads because of storm ,what pRt of stY of roads don’t you understand?
menashe and isaac make a great team ! !
This will be a good year for the committee. They are off to a good start working together
If my block is scheduled for garbage pickup Friday morn should I put out my trash tonight?
The mayor is funny!
Roads are very slippery
Just to let you know.
Its the precedent in all towns in America to plow authorities and first responder streets first, so they can get out there and help you.
The govt officals, police dept rescue
Firefighter and dpw all deserve and need to go first.
Gd bless
Great example of leadership!
I called Menashe Miller at his house and he said as of now there is indeed scheduled garbage pickup. Worse case scenario is that it would be picked up later in the day
An ounce of preparation is better than a ton of aggravation.
Eloquent speech that had wisdom and humor intertwined
you guys in Lakewood are very lucky to have such a Mayor running the town. We just got through a snow storm here in EY and nobody did any preparation what-so-ever.
to #25 can not believe you called the mayor at home for to ask that question–isn’t he busy enough with the snowstorm
