VIDEO: Mayor Albert Akerman, voted in yesterday as the Mayor for 2013, outlined for the audience the various projects he intends to pursue during his year as Mayor.Some of the projects, including chasing available grants for Lakewood, impact fees for builders – to require builders to pay a fee for traffic lights, roads and other improvements needed in newly developed areas, Tent City, and other important issues.

Albert speaks so soft and calm its a pleasure to listen to. Maybe he needs some toughening of the hide but that comes with time. Then again, maybe he is better off staying the way he is. Calm, relaxed, friendly, caring….people appreciate that.
