smith retirementVIDEO: Lakewood Police Lieutenant Retired from the Lakewood Police Department yesterday after 25 years of service – 19 of those to the LPD.

Though Lt. Smith wanted a quiet walkout, his colleagues and superiors felt a public walkout was more befitting for the Lieutenant.

smith 2Police Chief Rob Lawson along with several dozen others surprised Lt. Smith with the gathering as he walked out of the police headquarters after his last day of work.
