VIDEO: Shana Tova Greetings From Candidate Isaac Akerman

akerman_shana_tova_picVIDEO -submitted by the Akerman campaign – of Independant Candidate Isaac Akerman wishing our readers a Shana Tova. The following is the text of his message: Dear readers, I would like to express my sincere appreciation, to all of you who have contacted my campaign thus far, by either offering to volunteer your time, or by voicing your issues and concerns. While I did reach out and respond too many of you, I haven’t had a chance to return all your calls, due to extreme volume I have been receiving over the last few days, but as promised, I will do so shortly.

Over the last few weeks, people have been asking me, how I plan to tackle the specific issues that relate to this town. I have set up numerous neighborhood meetings throughout town, to personally listen to,   and discuss the various issues in detail.  Due to the limited amount of time before yom tov, a majority of these meetings will be taking place in the weeks to come. I will keep you updated as information on these meetings become available.

As Rosh Hashanah  approaches, I would like to take this opportunity,  to call upon our entire community to unite in achdus, as one voice, and stand behind me and my message, of, accountability, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and our ultimate goal, the  fight to lower our taxes!

For the time being, I would like to thank you for your continued support, and would like to wish you a Ksiva Vchasima Toivah a happy and healthy new year!

  1. Isaac do you have any ideas on how to address the poor lighting conditions in Lakewood? will you make it a priority if you are elected?poor street lighting is a direct cause of crime

  2. Way to go Isaac keep it up until Lakewood finally sees what a mentch you are. If you are one who really wants a change in this town then hop along with oilam and vote for Isaac he’s the only one currently running that has a chance to make it happen.

  3. As it stands right now, Albert Akerman is the first and only one, asking all of Lakewood to unite behind his candidacy and asking the entire Lakewood to vote as one and be an example the other communities that yes we are a united community looking out for each other to help make Lakewood a better and more peaceful place to live, for all. A very powerful message indeed!

  4. All people running for election make “election promises” but do not carry them out once they are in office. May I remind you that many promises were made by Corzine, Christie, & Obama before they were elected. What happened to those promises after they got in office?

  5. Talk is cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What changes do you plan on making and how?

We should all get a list of projects he approved on the zoning board see who they belong to and what favors were done in return

  6. If you want isaac to promise you the worl dand you will vote for him, then you have the wrong person. isaac will not promise you anything except for one thing, which is accountability, transparency, fiscal responsibility. Watch his message again, he clearly states that and wants to work with everyone hand in hand.

I had spoken with him, and he told me he plans on running a clean campaign with nothing to knock anyone else.

Isaac Keep Strong you can win against anyone.

  7. Mr Ackerman,

Sir as previously stated on this web site by a committee member, just remember that Lakewood is made up of :
    50% Orthodox
    30% Seniors
    20% Minorities
So remember to work on behalf of us all, not just the majority.

  8. Mr akerman thank you for your kind wishes and I would like to wish you and your family a shana tova we stand fully behind you as your honest and upstanding as we have seen on the planning hopeing that you will be our next committee member
