A boater was rescued by the Lakewood Water Rescue team this afternoon.

A Lakewood First Aid member was driving down Route 9 when he noticed a person in the water next to an overturned vessel.

He quickly called it in and dispatched emergency personnel.

Within minutes, the water rescue team was on a Jetski and rescued the boater, bringing him to shore.

The rescue was caught on video.
