  1. Reply: this was a once in lifetime kosher excursion to Antarctica (see DabsDeals). While anyway there, Siyum was made. The egg came before the chicken.

  2. I have a different take on this. As a frum yid we know there are nitzozes and Neshamas that get lost and float around for years waiting for a tikkun. Saying Kaddish and learning in a place that never had this before for made a roshiem on shamiyim in many ways… who knows that penguin stuck around for the siyum….I know you will think I’m crazy but there are many stories with the Baal Shem tov and others. Torah has to reach all corners of the world! Learn on!!!

  3. I traveled the world throughout my life and it doesnt make me happier! Of course vacation is a great thing. But traveling to every little place in the world is not something that gives a person accomplishment! I thing even Dan (dansdeals) would admit it. We are just trying to fill a void in our lives. The only thing that makes me feel accomplished are my daily Chavrusas!!

  4. As Jews we have the ability to make situations in our life holy for Hashem so if a person goes to Antarctica to see and get inspired by the wonders of Hashem he is doing a mitzva and especially if he goes and does a siyum that’s a beautiful thing. Let’s stop criticizing our brothers and look with an Ayin Tovah!
