VIDEO: The innovative “Sensible Sukkah” team, based out of Lakewood, is back with a groundbreaking, revolutionary product, expected to be out this coming Sukkos.
‘The Sensible Lulav Stand’, which will only be produced if the Kickstarter goal is met within 30 days, is a small foldable steel stand which fits into the Lulav holder, and intended to solve the problem of Lulavim falling and getting damaged in Shul.
“The stand is designed to protect your Lulav – in or out of the bag – even if you don’t have a good corner to store it in,” says the inventor Yossi Rothenberg. “The patent-pending product is economical and effective,” Rothenberg says. Rothenberg is also the founder of the Sensible Sukkah.
The patent-pending product is now live on the Crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter. See more info and video here.

Yossi has given us the Sensible Sukkah, a brilliant Sukkah, easy to put together (I can do it, and I am the least handy woman I know), looks beautiful, and is so storeable (No Huge Boards that have to be schlepped, and take up so much storage room) Now Yossi does it again !!! Congratulations Yossi – A great idea !! I can’t wait to see the Shul look like your picture with all those silver holders neatly set up.
Clearly, this guy is an absolute genius. Thanx , R’ Yossi, for using ur immense talents to help the klal. Hatzlocha !!
thanks!
not quite sure who you are, but as a Sensible Sukkah customer you will be getting one free of charge. assuming it gets funded.
Yossi
Can you please also invent a sensible esrog finder?
Unless it’s fixed to the table, or the foldout legs are substantially longer (at least 1/3 the height of the average lulav), or the material used is super heavy ( the kinda heavy metals found in fantasy books), this won’t work.
Cute idea though.
Plus I wouldn’t want my lulav standing there ready to get knocked over any second.
yes the legs will be steel for stability.
2 pounds is all it needs.
your welcome to stop by and test the prototype for yourself.
Yossi
Nice to see you commenting and responding. How long does the leg extend out? How do you compensate for center of gravity especially on the longer lulavim? With the unit fully open it would require a decent area available on the table, something that isn’t always available. Also considering the human factor, it may be stable in a perfect environment, but how about when the table gets bumped? I love the idea, but I’m not sure how practical it’s going to be in the real world.
Nevertheless hatzllocho raba. I hope you are matLiach on your kickstarter campaign.
Great idea Yossi! I have your sukkah and love it. The kids can help because its lightweight, easy to put together and store and looks beautiful as well.
