Lakewood is not the only time to have railroad crossings. What do other towns do?
Lakewood is the only place i have seen that the train will just block off the street for 30 minutes while going back and forth!!
The Township should be notified prior to their crossing and always have one patrol car on the east side of the tracks. Or have a designated patrol every Thursday afternoon until after it passes on that side. That should be the minimum.
Choo choo!
What are you trying to show ?
Plan for it. This train is here every Thursday like clockwok. Have patrol vehicles available on both sides of the tracks at this time.
THAT’S HOW LAKEWOOD IS EMERGENCY PERSONALS (OR VEHICLES) ARE HELD UP IN TRAFFIC OR BY ANYTHING ELSE, AND THEY CANT GET THROUGH THE TRAFFIC WHAT IF THEY GET A CALL WHILE STUCK IN TRAFFIC OR BEHIND SOMETHING C”V, ESPECIALLY ON CALLS IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS.
THE TOWNSHIP HAS TO THINK OF SOMETHING!
This train is ridiculous. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s all just for one business. Not only does it cause crazy backups on Thursday nights but every single school bus every single day has to stop at the tracks regardless of a train coming.
#7 buses everywhere, every town stop for railroad crossings!
#6 i am sure that police on either side of the tracks could respond
That’s right, They should have cars on both sides of the tracks. The trains have a schedule (every Thusday evening) .
