This kind of stuff is very important for the community relations. It demystifies the police. When I grew up the cops were the “bad guys.” We all got scared when a cop was near us; we saw their job as to figure out ways to give us tickets. In Lakewood the feeling is much more collaborative, and as an adult I see the police as our helpers and protector. And indeed, they do make us feel that way.

Not many people know this but Offiver Yahr was a star high school player for Lakewood in the 90s
Maybe the first responders in lkwd should have bb leagues this summer
