The Payless ShoeSource in the Lakewood Plaza was torn down today.
The chain store filed for bankruptcy last month, and is closing its approximately 2,000 stores nationwide.
The Lakewood Plaza management tells TLS a Chase bank will be constructed in its place – combining the two local branches.

Instead of yet another development built on every empty square foot, there will be a Chase, rather than a Ches.
Just imagine the traffic that’s going to create
If only the heimische olam would have bought shoes there instead of paying hundred dollars for kids shoes , Payless wouldn’t have to file for bankruptcy
I bought very nice and good shoes there.
like there’s room there for drive through ATM and tellers.
