A Lakewood homeowner tells TLS he spotted this person looking into vehicles this morning, and then came outside to find the person going through his car, stealing his iPad.
When confronted, the suspect returned the iPad and fled on foot.
Police are investigating.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department.
WHY did he NOT call the police first then go out side??
And why was the car NOT locked ??

“The suspect approached me,” the Lakewood homeowner told reporters, “he handed me my iPad, and said: ‘Hello! I’m Santa. I know I’m a little bit late, but the weather has caused some serious delays with my deliveries. Anyway, happy holidays, here’s the iPad I picked out especially for you. I hope you like it; it’s not that much different than the one you had till now. In fact, you won’t even notice the difference; I’m quite certain of that.’ He then fled away on foot – which was a red flag for me, because where was the reindeer and the sleigh?! Last time I checked, reindeer and sleighs travel through the most horrific forms of inclement weather.”
“That’s when I called the police, and confirmed my worst suspicions,” the homeowner said. “This guy is not Santa! He’s an ordinary thief!”

This person ( probably illegal) was caught a few months ago by Ateres Yeshaya area going through cars, was arrested
There were multiple witnesses, but I guess he was let right out so why not continue if there are no consequences
