VIDEO: JCP&L At Work; Power Restored To 75% Of Lakewood

VIDEO – JCP&L AT WORK IN LAKEWOOD: Power was already been restored to about 75% of Lakewood, according to the JCP&L website. When Sandy hit, about 21,000 Lakewood JCP&L customers were out. Currently, there are 5,498.

As earlier reported, dozens more utility trucks were brought into Lakewood this morning, adding to the 150 other JCP&L-affiliated trucks working to restore power.

Officials today announced that their goal was to have power restored to all of Lakewood by the end of today. About 60% of that goal was completed so far.

JCP&L said nearly all of their customers should have power by Wednesday.

  1. BIG thanks to JCP&L and to all the great men & women which came from other towns and states for bringing the power back up today:)

For the future; the management and customer service need to do a better job of informing the customers when and where will they be restoring the power, not rough estimates!!!!

  2. Just drove from pawnee across town basically north of the lake up and down. I may have missed a block or 2. The far north west corner, pawnee seminole is out a bit of clifton and a complex at the outskirts of raintree is out. The trucks were passing pawnee all day but not one entered really odd

  3. Thank you jcpl for all your hard work in getting our power back. Although its very frustrating we do understand that there were other towns that had priority, with more damage. But, you still could have kept us more informed on a timetable and which areas will be losing power and for how long for repairs.

BTW. My block still did not get power back. And I don’t have a generator

  4. Most of lakewood is not all of lakewood. “Nearly all their customers” doesnt help those of us out all week plus. Central avebetween at new central, pine circle dr, and leigh dr still out

  5. Tampa Electric brought some Florida sunshine to my home last night!!
Thank you to the TECO crew that restored our electricity.
I’m Yirtzeh H-shem by all of you!

  6. My dearest uncle lives in A Country Place on Petunia Drive. He is staying with us in North Jersey. We would appreciate any information if his place has it’s power restored. Thank you very much.

  7. Are they waiting till an older person at A Country Place freezes to death Chas Vesholom, to restore power ? Enough is enough. Is our office working on it ?
