An injured heron found on the side of the road in Lakewood this morning was rescued by Township employees and brought to a vet.
The large bird typically has a wingspan of around six feet.

I have been watching a blue heron for a few months that seemed to be nesting in our neighborhood. Recently noticed it hasn’t be around for awhile, not sure if it is the one rescued. Hope the Vet is able to help it.
