A distraught Lakewood woman got her stolen vehicle back, thanks to the efforts of some Askonim.

One of the Askonim involved relayed the following about the incident:

“Late Tuesday night, an elderly woman called the Lakewood Police Department to report her vehicle stolen in Lakewood.

The NCA was subsequently contacted about a distraught women whose vehicle was stolen and given all the known details of the incident.

After speaking to the woman, and learning of specific details of the incident, an NCA member determined the vehicle was likely abandoned somewhere in Lakewood.

After conducting a 30 minute search of possible locations for the whereabouts of the vehicle, he discovered it in the “muster zone” between 1st and 2nd street.

Lakewood Police was then contacted immediately and CSI was requested to have the vehicle properly processed with finger printing and DNA sampling.

It was then discovered that the suspect had left behind some highly valuable evidence in the vehicle which is being held as evidence by LPD, awaiting a search warrant.”
