A brush fire is burning in Lakewood this afternoon.
The fire is burning in the Avenue of the States area, but smoke can be seen for miles around Lakewood.
It’s unknown if this was the result of a controlled burn in the area earlier this week.
A chopper has been called in to inspect the fire.
There’s no need to send in choppers to investigate. The solution to brush fires is elementary. Do not brush your hair when your hair is on fire! Plain and simple! Also, do not bend your head toward your oven burners to see if they’re working, unless you want your hair to light on fire.
I don’t get it! Instead of spending tax dollars to send in choppers to investigate brush fires, why not spend the money to develop fireproof bristles for the brushes?
Sometimes simple solutions and using common sense is the answer to life’s problems. We certainly don’t need carbon emitting, global warming choppers to solve these problems. Moreover, what kind of idiot sends in a chopper to examine a brush. A pair of hands, fingers and a simple magnifying glass will suffice. But beware of the lice.
