VIDEO: Chaveirim received a call this afternoon saying a family of 9 ducklings were trapped in their-approximately foot deep-window sill of their home and the mother duck, unable to get them out, has left the area. The Chaveirim member placed the ducklings in a box and went out searching for the mother, who was found about 15 minutes later on a main road. The mother and a 10th duckling were reunited. I think hatzolah brought there extraction truck to the scene and the lcsw directed traffic while the lpd dive team rescued the 9 quacks
And lakewood ems transported the Quacks to kimball medical center where misaskim came and cheered them up and bikur choilim gave them some food

These are ducks, not Canadian Geese, who do 99% soiling of the sidewalks. There are not that many ducks around, so thank you for reuniting the family.

Dpw has a animal control crew that can and will come out and take care of such things and are trained in doing so safely and legally. It cost us tax dollars we should use it when we need it so no one should get hurt or chas’veshalom sick from some disease the animals might have.

It was animal control that suggested we call chavairim…. So there!
Animal control will only come out for a cat or dog. I called them when a stork parked itself in front of my house and thats what I was told.
But you obviosly have an ax to grind… So when you have an animal in your house (Snake, raccoon,Squirrel,woodchuck,bird,chipmunk or bat)
You go and call DPW. Good luck.
