This baby deer was born on a Lakewood resident’s property, and got stuck inside a window well.
Chaveirim CJ removed it and set it free.

Wrong thing to do. You watch them for a day or two to make sure they aren’t in immediate danger because the mother is probably nearby. The doe’s don’t spend 24/7 with them so that predators won’t bother the fawn. If after 1-2 days the fawn is still there and there is no evidence of the doe coming back, then you call a wildlife rehabilitation center so they can take care of the little one properly before eventually releasing them.
Did Chaveirm wait around to see if the mother was in the vicinity? If the two are not reunited there is virtually zero chance of survival for the fawn unless it’s taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.
