Chaskel Bennett was just eight years old when he met Rav Dovid Trenk Z’TL for the first time in Camp Munk.
For the next 40 years, Rav Dovid Trenk Z’TL served as his Rebbi and mentor – through Camp Munk Adelphia Yeshiva and beyond.
Chaskel, a member of Agudah’s Board of Trustees and a well known Askan for Klal Yisroel, gave a heartfelt hesped to the crowd gathered during the Kevurah.

In general: Look at the amazing person that Rabbi Trenk was. Look at how he gave his life to do and do and not stop doing, for other human beings. He filled a real need.
There can be hundreds like him today out there, filling needs that need to be filled for people who need them.

I’m not sure about that. You have to be very strong and resilient. Rav Trenk has those qualities too.
Let everyone do what they can for another person.
Maybe we don’t all have his energy time resources and stamina. But we can all do more for others.
