[VIDEO BELOW] Chasdei Lev last week held a distribution exclusively for Rebbeim of Lakewood’s Mosdos, in an effort to ease the Yom Tov burden.
“Chasdei Lev is an organization that unifies any typical individual who wants to give back to our Rebbeim for all that they do for us,” the organization said. “The mesiras nefesh of a Rebbe, and his family, doesn’t get the true appreciation that it deserves. We are pleased to present them with a shopping list of food and household necessities at drastically reduced prices. The items on this list were purchased directly from manufacturers and distributors at below wholesale prices. Along with the Rebbe, the Yeshivos graciously participate in bearing a portion of the cost to help make this possible, while the organization pays a significant share towards their tzorchei Yom Tov.”
Chadei Lev is comprised of volunteers who dedicate their time and money, with no fanfare, in appreciation for the Rebbeim’s services.
“We all truly value and appreciate their devotion to our children, Chasdei Lev said. “Therefore, we want to demonstrate a small token of our Hakoras Hatov by helping ease the burden of providing for their families for Yom Tov. We are Chasdei Lev!”
Wonderful chesed.. A little troubling that English subject rebbeim do not get the same recognition.
Even more troubling is that the female mechanchos don’t have access to this. I guess this chessed organization supports only those educating our boys.
The reason it is not geared to female teachers is because women are not naturally the breadwinners. Although many are working to support husbands learning. However, if they are struggling and cant make ends meet the man always has the option to go to work and get a job.
With Rabbeim , the salaries they get for a man is very little especially since he is most times the breadwinner and its a very tight budget for a family especially if their wives cant work (due to the fact that she needs to stay home and cant work or doesnt earn a big salary from her job)
You shouldnt be so quick to make judgements . Its an extremely thoughtful organization so next time if you have nothing nice to say…say nothing.
