Yes. Old news. Unfortunately many of the school bus drivers are very aggressive. They might be a big part of all the dangerous driving that goes on around town.

Some of them are too aggressive, one time I was driving down sunset road towards central and a bus driver made a left turn on to sunset and I was forced to brake hard and drive up the hill right before the park……

Oh my g-d these school bus drivers have to be analized, they drive so aggressive espically in developments whitch they shouldnt go into in the first place.. Then also on public roads they are just terrible with their driving…its insane that they could drive the way they do with a bus full with children in them…

Maybe aggressive to get over to left lane. Why couldn’t dash guy just ease up and let him in? Instead making a race

Moshe

Aggressive is an understatement. It’s crazy how much we have to yield to the school buses but the school buses drive like animals

The best drivers are STA.sorry to say the worst drivers are the one’s run by the schools them selves. I called one of them to tell them there driver cut me off RUNNING A STOP SIGN. he totally ignored me

I agree its hard to drive a bus in this town especially in developments but if ur driving a bus slow down and dont use your blinking red lights to make left turns I saw a bus a few days ago drop someone off on sqaunkaum and keneddy a little before light then 2 seconds later put his blinking red lights on so he can make left turn behind wawa I mean come one dont abuse those lights or no one will obey them also the way these bus drivers drive it should be a manditory rule for kids to wear seatbelts

@Mr Lakewood you have to watch video over the dash cam guy has no warning the bus put on a blinker after nearly hitting dash cam guy, these bus drivers are under a lot of pressure to get kids to school or home and get on to next run, that causes them to drive aggressively and be a danger to others on the road and to children on board

BE SAFE

BUS COMPANIES NEED TO SCREEN THERE EMPLOYEES DILIGENTLY. THERE ARE TOO MANY BUSES DRIVING UNSAFELY ON THE ROADS!

The idea is very simple no house stops no entering a developement strictly nearest main rd stop and yes I have kids I know what it means. But when I was a kid we went to the nearest main corner it would get the drivers calmer because they wont be under the gun to make it on time and it would make bussing cheaper too so azzara can pat himself on the back

Some bus drivers in this town drive with reckless abandon.

the bus driver had his blinker on for quite a while, Mr. dash cam! all you had to do is have the common courtesy and let him in! Yes, he cut you off, but only cuz you were leaving him no choice!!!
so who’s the aggressive driver??????

no name

Yes almost all of them are. They must think there above the traffic laws speeding all the time an cutting people off no blikers

No excuse

Ther aee a lot of bus drivers who drive recklesly.
Not that they are excused but i understand anybody who drives kn lakewood gets frustrated, especialy the bus drivers who are driving the bulk of the day.
I happen to have a dash cam video of a bus driver acting extremly irresponsibly, but since the bus company name was very visable i opted not to send it in.

Saw a school bus today, making left hand turn off Cedar Bridge Ave going east onto Shanendoah, new street by Blueclaws that has two NO LEFT TURNS signs. Had kids on the bus and 1/2 mile of traffic backed up behind him. If Lakewood PD put a car on that street they could write tickets all day long for that illegal turn.

If the driver with the dash cam had been in the proper lane (to the right) then maybe this would never have been an issue. Stay to the right except to pass, which they obviously weren’t doing.

I am horrified at times at what I see school buses doing on our streets. I gave seen buses going down winding streets at crazy speeds. Of course while using both the right and left sides of a two way road. Stand on Miller Road or Caranetta Drive or South Lake or North Lake drive and watch and click these buses. It is really scary. A previous commenter has it right. One step would be yi cut down on the side street and development stops. Walk out to a main or central location. Every Chaim Yankel has to have the bus stop at their front door? There is lots that needs to be done about this big safety concern.

One way to avoid extra bus traffic and also save money is by combing schools.

good morning. Bus drivers in the town of Lakewood deal with discourteous drivers in this town. 1st a lot of people race to beat our lights, even when we stop they will try to go around us,while we are unloading children. 2nd they will stop at our stop sign on the bus. The children then cannot cross safely. 3rd motorist must stop 25 feet from a bus, not at the busses bumper. theses are your children we are transportating have some sense people

I’m so glad that my daughter drives her children to school. I was run off (literally) the road by a school bus where the speed limit is 35 mph. He almost hit me from behind and passed me on a double line (I was doing the speed limit). Didn’t know if he was from Lakewood or Howell. I called both school districts giving them the number of the bus, didn’t hear back. Couldn’t believe how fast he was going.
