For those who may have been confused by my comments on the previous article about this, I want to make one thing clear. I never ever pass a school bus with the lights on. I just think that the law is overly protective.
Here we go again!! It is NOT overly Protective!! IT IS THE LAW!! A law that has been around since before your were born!! There is NO need to change it because you don’t like it!! Just give it up already!! No one is going to change a law that you did NOT write!! No matter how much you complain about it!! Are you going to continue with the same pathetic and protruding rhetoric on EVERY video of ILLEGALLY passing School Busses?! Because it’s tiresome!! And pathetic!!

This is 100% wrong.
BUT. Buses shouldn’t be stopping on Route 9.
Why not stop on the 9? They stop on Cedarbridge and Pine and Cross and Massachusetts and EVERY OTHER ROAD IN LAKEWOOD. The buses can’t help the population growth that makes the 9 so congested. They have every right to drop off students at a nearly convenient location.
They STOP wherever they have Schools. It is ILLEGAL to pass!!
The ONLY thing wrong is passing a School Bus with Flashers on!!
Driver should be arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of minors.

Why did the driver go through the bus STOP sign?
Because that’s what happens everyday in that town.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the flashing lights. Besides that the busses go with flashing yellow lights for blocks so you cannot know when they will turn on the red one’s
I saw them PERFECTLY!! I know EXACTLY when the Red Ones come on!! AS SOON AS THEY STOP!! There is NO excuse for passing a School Bus with Flashers on!!

Some the commenters seem quick to pass judgement without considering if this case was a dangerous or not.
The kids were being picked up from the opposite side and a driver can miss the flashing lights. Nobody was in danger at any time during this video.
The scoop would do us more favors by pointing out the cases where there was actual danger instead of instigating the public against innocent mistakes where nobody got hurt or was at risks of getting hurt.
I saw the flashing lights and the STOP SIGN!! Whether they were in danger or not.. whether crossing the street or not!! It is ILLEGAL to pass a School Bus picking up or dropping off kids!! It’s been the law since before you were born and NO ONE can change that because you don’t like it!!

The law is the law!! It’s in the Driver’s Manual that you were supposed to study before you got your permit and license!! Do some Research!! PASSING A SCHOOL BUS WITH FLASHERS ON AND THE STOP SIGN OUT IS ILLEGAL!!

@bus in wrong. The reason he is stopped on the shoulders probably cause like me he had to many times that people drove thru on the right as children where boarding and had to many close calls
