A vehicle (pictured) left running downtown today was stolen, police say.
At approximately 12:15 pm, “an unknown suspect stole a delivery man’s vehicle as he was inside a business delivering some food at 101 Second Street,” Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith said.
The vehicle, a white 1994 Chevy Caprice bearing NJ Reg CY-54LE, was last seen heading east on Monmouth Avenue.
“Information developed on scene suggests that the suspect is possibly a black male, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lakewood Police Department at 732-363-0200.

That’s one of the hottest cars to steal. Will be worth a lot in 20 years.
Why would anyone want to steal such a big old julobbie, OH , maybe because Chevy made a very powerful sport version of that car in 1994 and they called it the Impala which is a collectors item today, and it uses the same body parts as this vehicle.
