The United State Postal Service has reached out to TLS as they investigate the incident involving one of their drivers, which was caught on dashcam video and posted last week on TLS.
The incident, which was caught on a dashcam video, shows a USPS driver driving recklessly through an intersection on a turning light, and from the turning lane, nearly causing a head-on collision.
“The carrier that is involved needs to be retrained,” the USPS official wrote to TLS, seeking information about the video. “I am very concerned that an employee of this office would put our customers and them self in harm’s way.”… “As a representative of the United States Postal Service we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for the employees as well as our customers.”
The official thanked TLS for bringing the incident to light, and they look forward to making Lakewood a safer community.
“I would like the community to know that this is serious and working together we can help make our community safer,” the official added.

Are you referring to people being kicked out of their own homes? I’ve almost never heard of that. Perhaps you mean people being kicked out of a home they rent from someone else because they haven’t paid their rent. That’s somewhat more common.

It is true that Federal Government vehicles have the right of way over all vehicles but this guy was a total idiot.
B”H this incident didn’t cause harm or a loss of money. I was hit by a taxi driver who committed this same violation. I had broken ribs and total loss of my car. Unfortunately, it was not caught on camera. Let’s use this video to perfect our own driving!
Happens every day in Lakewood. The only difference is the USPS driver wasn’t on his cell phone.
He most likely did not realize that the light only turned green to make a left turn so thinking the light was green ha speed ahead to go before the traffic

It is absolutely NOT true that postal trucks have the right away. This is an old urban myth that has no basis in fact.
Besides, mailmen are not “federal agents” LOL
