On Sunday, emergency responders were dispatched to Barnegat Light State Park, where two people who were fishing got stranded in the high tide.
The two victims were located at the end of the South Jetty.
A rescue swimmer was deployed and was able to assist the victims up onto a light post.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter was then able to lower a swimmer to extract the victims.
One victim sustained minor injuries, while the second victim was unharmed.
