If you reside in a development, be sure to check with the association in charge of the Eruv to ensure it is still Kosher. As of right now, the Eruv in Raintree is down.

As of last night, the string running along route 9 and the lake was down. I think it is part of the Sons of Israel eruv.

Since when does an eiruv need a hechsher. It needs someone responsible to check it every week and it needs an initial setup by someone knowledgeble in all the relevant halachos. It needs a hechsher like a barber needs a hechsher to cut your hair with proper peyos!
