This is bad news! It’s dangerous for patients to be unaccompanied in hospitals. I am still hearing bad stories about this now. If you need a COVID patient to go to a good hospital call the Somech Hotline. Dont play games with serious situations. Too many patients were lost this way.
Jersey Shore isn’t allowing anyone to come with the patient in the ER.
I went on Tuesday, reception told my husband he could stay till triage then he would need to leave the building but he would be allowed back in once I was in a room. When I got to a room, I asked if my husband could join me and was told no (and, yes, I asked other people too- including the head of the emergency department- not just the first nurse). They said that due to the uptick in cases they are reverting to previous protocols and that since it changes so often, reception didn’t have the correct info.
My husband sat in the car for almost 4 hours.
One person at a time. 6ft away on line.
Sign says 6 feet away or 6 feet under.
What about maternity wards?
Yale university is the best hospital for COVID.
The rule listed for CHOP is not true. CHOP you can go with two healthy adults.
I was on the way to Chop with my husband when someone told me they saw on the scoop that only one parent is allowed. In a panic I called Chop and they confirmed that their policy in the emergency room and inpatient units is two parents or two healthy caregivers. Please correct this. Thank you!
PLEASE don’t choose hospital only on visitation and convenience. Be smart and don’t go to local hospitals. We had horrible experience. Do research! Go to HUP, Yale for covid. ect… one will come out alive ! and faster so one won’t need so many visitors .
May we all be well!
If you or a relative needs to be hospitalized for Covid, PLEASE do your research. Only some hospitals will treat correctly!! Hackensack, Hospital of Philadelphia, Yale have been known to have good outcomes – but DON’T just blindly go to any hospital – do you own research!! It can mean the difference of a good outcome or CHV not.
Only low risk should go to HUMC (hackensack) I do not think they are good enough for high risk COVID. (Heard one story already there…)
