Just in. The State Police are currently in a hot pursuit down the Garden State Parkway and have requested from the Lakewood Police Department to shut down all Lakewood exits. There is no additional information available at this time. We will keep you updated on this developing story.
U/D 10:22 p.m The Police are in pursuit of a beige, 1997 Ford Pick-Up truck, currently passing exit 101. All exits are shut.
U/D 10:40 p.m The Lakewood exits have been reopened. The pursuit continues down the GSP Southbound at this time.
U/D 11:15 p.m The pursuit has ended, after the vehicle drove over the spikes which were set up on the GSP and blew all four tires. He was taken into custody in front of Southern Ocean County Hospital on Rt 72 in Stafford Township.
