The teen girl seriously injured in an accident in Lakewood last week will be undergoing a surgery today, the family tells TLS.

The sixteen-year-old, Chava bas Chaya Esther, was traveling in a car with friends on Rt. 70 when it collided with a truck, critically injuring her.

“She remains in very serious but stable condition, and making slow progress,” the family told TLS. “Doctors are hopeful.”

The family is asking the community to be Mispallel, “especially in this auspicious time of year.”
