UPDATE: Statement from Lakewood Police on Triple Stabbing in Lakewood

Police today released information about the triple stabbing that occurred on Saturday night in Lakewood, and first reported on by TLS.

On June 3rd at approximately 10:50 pm, Lakewood Police received a call from Monmouth Medical Southern Campus stating that they had three stab wound victims.

Upon arrival, the juvenile victims reported that they and the suspects exited their vehicles at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue. It was during that confrontation that they were attacked by two suspects with what is believed to be a machete.

The circumstances leading up to the event are not clear. Two of the victims sustained serious but non life threatening injuries.

The third was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson due to substantial blood loss. All are in stable condition at the time of this release.

  1. who said it was road rage maybe it was a family or household feud or neighborhood or gang related these people settle things with sharpened metal

  2. ‘These people’- is a racist statement.
    And like most racist statements it is a sweeping and dishonest stereotype.
    That comment should have been moderated.
