Lakewood Activist Is Demanding Park Shade Sails Be Made Out of Transparent Materials, So That Park-Goers Can See the Sun Through the Sails and Calculate the Correct Time for Morning Prayers
Longtime Lakewood activist, Joseph Skymar, is calling upon township officials to ensure that the new shade sails being erected over Slide City Park be made out of transparent materials so that the sun can be seen through the sails, thus enabling park-goers to calculate the correct time for the morning prayers
“Transparent material is the most crucial component of shade sails,” Mr. Skymar said, “because shade sails that are lacking in transparency, make it virtually impossible to see anything that is situated in the heavens, including the sun.”
When asked about Mr. Skymar’s “transparent” request”, a Lakewood Township official, told reporters: “Listen, I’m all for transparency, but when you’re dealing with shady projects, transparency can be hard to come by.”
