UPDATE: Rat-ridden Jackson Food Pantry Moving to Senior Center

The Jackson Food Pantry taken over by rats, will be relocating to the Jackson Senior Center, Jackson Mayor Michael Reina tells TLS.

The Mayor says as soon as he was made aware of the rat issue, he immediately took swift action to ensure the operations can continue.

Reina says he was able to arrange for the pantry to move into the Senior Center located across the street from the DPW, while they make all the necessary repairs to the current location, as well as thoroughly clean the entire building.

“In the meantime, they will be able to operate and distribute with normally with limited interruptions,” Reina stated.

Reina added, “all of this will be done in-house,” Reina said.
