UPDATE: Police ID Lakewood Man Found Beaten to Death Inside his Raintree Home

homicide scene tlsPolice today identified the man found beaten to death inside his Lakewood home.

Miguel Rivera, 45, was lying face down in the hallway of his home “and appeared to have sustained trauma to his head,” Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith said today.

“At this time, the details surrounding his death are suspicious and an investigation has been underway.”

As earlier reported, official sources told TLS it appeared the suspect made forced entry into the home, and then beat the homeowner to death.

Police are awaiting autopsy results.

  1. He was our mechanic and very talented fellow and always found ways to keep our cars chugging as well as our childrens bikes. We surely will miss him, he was a real nice fellow, we are very sad. Rest in peace migal we’ll miss u alot

  3. Chaim Yankel….why do you doubt this was just a typical break-in? I’m not understanding why you would say something like that. He was a hardworking man who didn’t deserve this. No reports say anywhere that this may be foul play, so tell me again why wouldn’t it be a typical break-in? The ignorance!!
