Parler, the number one downloaded app in recent months, announced it can be off the air for about a week after it was banned from its hosting platform Amazon, needing to rebuild.
The social media app has seen unprecedented traffic in recent months as users began leaving Twitter due to the company tightening the noose around free speech.
Over the weekend, Twitter banned President Trump, an unprecedented move which is prompting millions to flee Twitter and seek alternatives.
But after seeing it as a threat to their companies and agenda, Twitter, Google, Apple and Amazon have teamed up to choke out the quickly-successful app.
Last night, Parler CEO John Matze addressed users’ concerns and announced plans to rebuild – which could take up to a week:

President Trump also took to the POTUS account to announce that other options are in the works.
