Over 2,000 JCP&L Customers Without Power in Lakewood as Temperatures Near 100 [UPDATED]

Over 2000 JCP&L customers in Lakewood are out of power this afternoon as temperatures reach nearly 100°.

Most of the power outages are in the south end of Lakewood.

The cause of the outage is unknown at this time, but the electric company says power is expected to be restored by 6:00 PM today.

  1. They changed it a long time ago to be 9:30 PM… huge problem since we have not been able to open our fridge since it started hours ago to take out our food to heat for shabbos. Current status says it is a complex repair and they sent for additional crews.

  2. amazing how they tell us to try to conserve electric in heat waves, while they allow huge office buildings with exterior glass walls to be erected here in Lakewood. Do you have any idea what it takes to cool one of those green houses?? how silly and unpractical can builders be, what a waist of electric
