UPDATE: NJAW calls off water interruption scheduled for Erev 3-day Yom Tov

After residents contacted TLS and voiced their outrage about a scheduled water maintenance for eight hours tomorrow, the project has been called off.

The water would have disrupted service in the Sunset Avenue area during Erev Shabbos/Yom Tov preparation for many families.

Askonim got involved and contacted NJAW, upon which they agreed to delay the project to after Shvuos.

In addition, the company today also announced it would be paving in the area on Yom Tov, to avoid disrupting traffic.

Yes–
“outrage” is misplaced.
They didn’t davka try to wreak havoc on erev yomtif prep. Once explained, they accommodated and postponed.
