The new tracking system unveiled last week is averaging approximately 11,000 calls and logins per day, Jays and Presidential tell TLS.
This system, currently in its pilot phase, provides parents and guardians with real-time updates on their children’s bus locations.
The pilot program launched with the initial focus on morning routes, but the company says that tracking accuracy may vary as they continue to refine the system.
Families have two ways to access the bus tracking service:
By phone: Call 732-276-1176 using the registered phone number on file, which identifies the child’s assigned route.
Online: Visit parent.geotrackny.com to track buses and manage settings.
Parents can also add up to two additional phone numbers through the online portal, allowing a total of three numbers per account.
The company says they are aware of some of the technical issues mentioned by readers – including the inability to track two buses at once, the page not remaining logged in and other technical issues they’re working to resolve. They’re also working on adding the afternoon tracking.
They also noted, that as routes are changed and settled for the school year, some tracking may not be accurate.
The company is asking parents for their feedback of the system, and also asks parents to have patience while they continue to improve the system.

its great! we use it every morning! some buses dont show up on it, but the ones that do it is very accurate.

its the best! it works great! but it wld be nice if we cld add more then 3 numbers for all my kids. also some buses dont show up on it.
Definitely helpful. Thank you! As for the issues that could use modifications… Doesn’t always work (today it only tracked one of the two busses – maybe because a different bus was being used?) and seems to drop the route from the line at some point even before it gets to school .
I can login but it typically says something like “no route active” even though it should be trackable at that time. Neighbors say the same

The idea is great and would be super helpful but it doesn’t seem to be working properly. Sometimes it says no active route when in fact we know the bus is on route. It doesn’t show two routes at once for the same household and we have two different buses we would like to track. I’m hoping this is looked into and fixed because it would be great!

What we really need to figure out Is why our bus is coming to school for pickup at least 30 min late daily. The 4pm boys are getting home after 5pm! Maybe they shouldn’t have tried to pack in so many route$ and be a little more realistic about the timing it takes.
It’s very upsetting and unfair to us the customers.
Keeps telling me no active route. Extremely frustrating since I need to drive 10 mins to the bus stop, tracking is sorely needed.
Really love that we can track the bus. But it stops tracking at 9.15am. I know the kids should be in school by then, but the bus gets to our stop between 9.25 and 9.30… would be great to be able to track it till it gets to school

The bus number associated with the bus route is incorrect and therefor I am tracking a different bus…would be so helpful if can be updated

One issue for me is that it tracks a route that isn’t mine instead of the correct one. I would love to be able to update my account to the correct route.
I also found that it drops routes in middle so I lose the tracking before it gets to my kids stop.
Is there any way to track a Masoras Avos bus?
When it works it’s amazing! Most times works great, but it’s for fun because we can’t depend on it 100%.
Had a bus on unnamed street when in middle of the route, or saying the bus is before stop1 and then showing up a minute later in the middle of the route.
We had a sub one day and geo track mentioned that with the sub bus number. That was great,. Just the bus didn’t follow the route, so that was hard to track…
As you wrote, there are glitches, but it’s fantastic to see the potential of an incrediblely helpful tracking tool.

Often, after the pick up it starts working- which is pointless
Its great! It would be nice to say where bus is until it gets to school and not stop when it gets to last stop so I know the bus arrived safely and on time to school
It let me track it this morning but once my daughter was picked up it said I have no active routes I want to be able to track it till my daughter gets to school
I am using the call in number and it’s working out really well. It is so so nice to be able to call in before heading out to our bus so that we’re not waiting for hours before it comes. Thank you for arranging this service and trying so hard to help us!!!!!!
