UPDATE: Manasquan Savings Bank suspect in custody

police swatThe man suspected of robbing the Manasquan Savings Bank yesterday, is in custody, police said this afternoon.

As first reported by TLS yesterday, officers were dispatched to the Manasquan Savings Bank at 24 Princeton Ave for a reported bank robbery at 11:57am on 11/22/16. The suspect was described as a white male, 6’3, dirty blonde hair, bandage under left eye, mid 50’s, wearing a black jacket with hood. The suspect’s vehicle was described as black pick-up with a tool box mounted on the bed, possibly a Ford F-150.

A lookout was issued to the neighboring towns with a full description of the vehicle and the incident that had just occurred.

Members from the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department located a vehicle on Glenwood Ave in Point Pleasant that matched the description of the suspect vehicle. Police units from the Point Pleasant Police Department and The Brick Township Police Department responded to Glenwood Ave and set up a perimeter around the residence. The Ocean County Sherriff’s Department Reginal Swat Team responded and attempted to make contact with the suspect. The Swat team made entry into the residence at approximately 3:30 pm and located the suspect who was identified as Brooks Henderson 3rd, 41 years old from Cherry Hill.

Henderson was transported to the Brick Police Department where he was charged with Robbery and Superior Court Judge Blaney set bail at $150,000 no 10%.Henderson was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he is currently lodged.
