LSTA Director Avrohom Krawiec was hired on Friday, just days after it was announced Lisa Vargas was being fired – after inefficiencies were exposed.
“I am ready to assist the district on all matters related to transportation and enable efficiencies where possible to save the district money,” Krawiec told TLS.
Krawiec will still continue to run the LSTA, which handles the busing for Lakewood approximately 30,000 private school students. Approximately 98% of next year’s busing has already been coordinated.
“I will spend time getting acclimated within the district’s system to see where and what can be done to enable efficiencies,” Krawiec said.
